Torque Game Engine (UX/UI)
Self: Nils Eikelenboom
Type project: UX-UI Redesign & Development
Year: 2022 – 2023
Description:
Complete makeover of the Torque 3d Game Engine Graphical User Interface (GUI). Torque 3d is an open source game engine released under the MIT license in 2012. The GUI was outdated visually, as well regarding functionality & accessibility. With thousands of changes in code and image files, this project is pretty reasonable in size. Hundreds of icons have been redrawn using Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop. New behaviors like docking of panels and a new window layout have been introduced using C++ and a native scripting language.
The T3D “Makeover” has been released on github and implemented in the latest official PR.
